A lifelong resident of Oldham County, Chris Haunz has dedicated his life to public service, community safety, and fiscal responsibility. Since 2017, Chris has proudly served as Magistrate, where he currently chairs the Finance Committee and serves on both the Public Safety and Economic Development Committees.

His leadership has been marked by a commitment to transparent budgeting, responsible growth, and keeping Oldham County a safe and thriving place to live.

For over 35 years, Chris has been an active member of the Pewee Valley Fire Department, serving the community as a firefighter, past board of trustee member, and now as Deputy Chief. His decades of hands-on experience in public safety give him a unique understanding of the challenges and needs facing our first responders.

Chris and his wife, Sharon, are proud to call Oldham County home and together, they’ve raised two children, William and Maddie, who share their parents’ deep appreciation for

community and service.

With proven leadership, a lifetime of local involvement, and a vision for a strong, united Oldham County, Chris Haunz is ready to continue serving his neighbors as Judge Executive.
